guys, we have lots of time to get all of the games done in one night, but we really have to make sure that we get things going on time....we have 180 minutes of ice....but we get the ice at lime 1035, so we have 175 minutes then maybe take off 15 minutes for the scrape....which leaves 160 - 135 (3 games at 45 minutes) which leaves us theoretically with 25 minutes to warm up, and rest, which should be MORE than enough time...
some other clarifications should be made regarding rules....ie: offside....when a team is offside, and the pucked leaves that offensive zone, the players considered offside until they leave the zone by crossing the blue line...however, if they haven't cleared the zone yet, thus still being offside, and the puck is played out but then BACK IN to the zone by the OTHER TEAM, the players that were offside before, are no longer offside because the other team decided to play the puck back into their own zone....
we've been playing intl rules so we need to stick with them...ie: goalie takes a hard shot in the mask, the play should be whistled dead immediately...(remember we also play no touch icings)...just thinking we should keep the rules consistent so the refs know what to call!

If you want to type these up so we could pass them around, that would be a good idea. We will all have to take a turn at reffing.
I'd also like to add that since most of us have never reffed officially, nor been trained to do so, we are all doing our best. No one needs to take any abuse when all they are doing is trying to help out the league. I'd like to see the refs be a little more generous with unsportsmanlike conduct calls if need be to eliminate that stuff.
